Camp Lawrence
On the second day of school we loaded up two busses with 60 middle school girls, 20 faculty members, and some of the largest suitcases you’ve ever seen, and we headed North. Our destination, Bear Island, a small island in the middle of Lake Winnipesaukee that is home to the Merrimack Valley YMCA’s, Camp Lawrence. For the next three days we filled our time with adventure, community building, and joy. We came together as a community, discussed our hopes for the upcoming school year, and ate a lot of toasted marshmallows. Here is a glimpse at our time on the island.
